The Problem
Heart disease, cardiac death, and heart related conditions seem like issues faced only by the elderly, but sadly and although rare, young people are falling victim to sudden cardiac deaths – many with no warning signs. The most common cause for sudden cardiac death among youth is HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). HCM can be detected and prevented through a simple screening called an echocardiogram (ultrasound images of the heart). Echos often run $800 – $2000 and unfortunately, insurance does not cover the cost as a preventive measure. This amount is prohibitive for a majority of families, and the real tragedy is that many of these deaths could have been prevented with this simple screening.

The Program
Quality Mobile Ultrasound provides all of the management, staff members, equipment and supplies that it takes to provide a screening to your students. Our team will work with your school to schedule the day(s) that we will provide the program. We are proud to have been able to work with our cardiologists to provide a huge discount to a normal echocardiogram, and at a mere $75. This service includes the echocardiogram, the interpretation, and the report (by one of our Accredited Cardiologists) this service is over 90% less than a regular exam. It is our goal to provide not only excellent care, but care at a price that makes this screening a viable option for most families.
